Activities at the Frances Wisebart Jacobs Chapter NSDAR

Going to the National Jewish Hospital in DenverVisting National Jewish Hospital, founded by Frances
Wisebart Jacobs.

Our chapter’s mission is to promote patriotism, historic preservation, education, and serving our veterans and community.
We are committed to preparing and serving dinner on a monthly basis to residents of the Fisher House. Here veterans and their families are housed for free when they are in need of a facility that can accommodate them when medical needs arise.
We are actively involved with several schools promoting good citizenship and encourage students to write essays for certificates and/or monetary rewards.
The annual veterans Christmas party will find us serving a luncheon at the VA Hospital and presenting gifts which we have accumulated over the year as well as caps and lap robes which we have made for the veterans
A prospective membership workshop is held at least three times a year and we encourage prospective members to bring any family history they have. Volunteer genealogists are on hand to assist in research. Please email before planning to attend.
We meet on the third Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m., September through May. Prospective member workshops are held several times a year, please email for information. Our meetings begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. We have a business meeting followed by a program and at the conclusion desert is served during our social hour.
